Minister Memişoğlu announces new practice in MHRS! 'We are starting from September 1st'

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu visited the Governor's Office in Uşak, where he arrived for a series of visits, and held talks. Minister Memişoğlu was welcomed by Uşak Governor Naci Aktaş, AKP Uşak deputies İsmail Güneş and Fahrettin Tuğrul, CHP Uşak Deputy Ali Karaoba, Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, and city officials. The Minister then attended the “Healthy Turkey Century Uşak Health Managers Meeting” held at the Governor's Office Meeting Hall.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS ERA IN MHRS

Making statements to members of the press after the meeting, Memişoğlu emphasized that efforts to increase the quality of health services are continuing and said the following:

"It will be possible to make appointments for some university hospitals via MHRS (Central Physician Appointment System). We are starting to implement this as a pilot program through family medicine at Yozgat Bozok and Pamukkale universities starting September 1st. As a ministry, we are striving to improve all areas where health services are provided. We do not see them as university hospitals, public hospitals, or private hospitals, but as hospitals that serve our nation. We see them as health sciences. We aim to provide better health services by providing all kinds of support and assistance."

“WE WILL ACHIEVE SUCCESS WITH THE PRODUCING HEALTH MODEL”

Pointing out that Turkey has risen to the position of a country that not only provides services but also produces in the field of health, the Minister used the following expressions:

"Together with our physicians, healthcare workers, industrialists, and producers, we are organizing this work so that products will hopefully emerge in 2026. We have no doubt that Turkey will be very successful in this regard with the producing health model under the leadership of our President."

NEW HOSPITAL FOR UŞAK

Touching upon the health investments to be made in the city, Memişoğlu announced that a new 200-bed hospital will be brought to Uşak.

“OUR PRIORITY IS PREVENTIVE HEALTH”

Drawing attention to the September 3-9 Public Health Week, the Minister of Health emphasized the importance of preventive health services.

"Our priority, as we always say, is preventive health. Therefore, we have developed a policy that we call proactive, where we go to the community and teach them how to live healthily. In this regard, we will hopefully go out into the field with our mobile smoking cessation vehicles and help people who smoke in neighborhoods, villages, and coffeehouses, and explain to them how they can quit smoking and how we will support them. We also ask them to comply with this support. We will reduce the smoking habit, which is one of the most important causes of lung cancer, together in Turkey."
