Nurgül Yeşilçay calls out to the ministry: 'Is there such a thing?'

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that citizens' height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) will be measured in public squares and event locations, and that individuals who are overweight will be directed to Healthy Life Centers and Family Health Centers. Memişoğlu stated that they aim to reach 10 million people with this initiative.

In a statement on his social media account, Minister Memişoğlu said, 'With the program we have launched simultaneously in 81 provinces, our health personnel will perform height, weight, and BMI measurements in areas where our citizens are concentrated. Overweight individuals will be identified, and nutritional counseling and follow-up services will be provided by dietitians.'

This campaign will be carried out in cooperation with Provincial Health Directorates, the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay), the Turkish Green Crescent (Yeşilay), and various non-governmental organizations. Memişoğlu stated, "We aim to reach 10 million of our citizens between May 10 and July 10, 2025. We will continue to work to spread a healthy lifestyle culture."

In a video she shared on her social media account, Yeşilçay expressed her reaction in a humorous tone, saying, 'Is the Ministry of Health collecting chubby people from the streets?
