Dietitian Büşra Nur Ceylan, in her statement noting that sacrificial meat should be rested for one day before consumption, said: "Start the day with a light breakfast. Throughout the day, people will be eating heavily, including meat groups as well as products like desserts, pastries, and pies."

Drawing attention to the importance of portion control during Eid al-Adha, Ceylan stated: "We can maintain balance by consuming half or a quarter of the portions. Especially when visiting, choose ayran or sherbet instead of carbonated drinks. When consuming meat, be sure to add a carbohydrate source alongside the protein source. If you balance your digestion, you will stay healthy. Cutting and resting the meat is very important. We do not recommend consuming it on the first day because post-mortem rigor occurs in meats. Stay away from deep-fried, fatty foods."

To avoid negative health effects, recommendations such as balanced nutrition, physical activity, paying attention to sugar and dessert consumption, and not neglecting water intake are at the top of dietitians' lists.
