Revolutionary weight loss pill on the way! Causes 13 percent weight loss in 3 months

Novo Nordisk CEO Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen stated that the company's experimental weight loss pill, amycretin, could become a best-in-class treatment for obesity.

The Danish pharmaceutical company is aiming to capitalize on the success of its record-breaking weight loss drug, Wegovy, by striving to develop next-generation treatments for obesity. Jorgensen stated on CNBC's "Money Movers" program that patients taking the pill lost approximately 13.1 percent of their body weight after 12 weeks.

This exceeds the 6 percent weight loss seen in those using Wegovy at the end of the same period. This contributes to growing excitement regarding the potential of weight loss pills.

According to a report by Gazete Oksijen, it was noted that in addition to providing convenience for patients, the pills could alleviate some of the supply constraints that have plagued weight loss injections. Wegovy, along with similar drugs, has seen a surge in demand over the past year due to its ability to help patients lose significant weight over time, and it has occasionally reached the point of being out of stock.

In his statement to CNBC, Jorgensen said, "We believe that in the future there will be different segments of anti-obesity treatments and different patients will have different preferences."

However, he noted that these pills will not be released to the market anytime soon. The company stated that a mid-stage trial for amycretin will begin in the second half of this year and results are expected in early 2026.
