SGK adds 36 new drugs to reimbursement list

The Social Security Institution has expanded its reimbursement coverage; the new drugs, 27 of which are domestically produced, include treatments for diabetes, infections, and immune system diseases.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated in a post on his social media account that an important step has been taken to increase citizens' access to medicine and treatment. According to the information provided by Minister Işıkhan, a total of 36 new drugs, 27 of which are domestic, covering hemophilia, blood products, and allergy vaccines, as well as diabetes, infections, enzyme deficiencies, and immune system-related diseases, have been included in the reimbursement list.

Minister Işıkhan included the following statements in his announcement:

"In this context, we have added a total of 36 more drugs to our reimbursement list, 27 of which are domestically produced, covering different treatment areas, primarily hemophilia, blood products, and allergy vaccines, as well as diabetes, infections, enzyme deficiencies, and immune diseases. I wish for these to bring healing to our patients, wish all our citizens a healthy life, and wish everyone a happy holiday."

The Ministry stated that with this update, they aim to support patients' access to current treatments and ensure the inclusivity of the healthcare system.
