The animal market in Mahmudiye village, located in the Niksar district of Tokat, has been closed indefinitely due to suspected foot-and-mouth disease.
A sample taken from an animal was sent to a laboratory for foot-and-mouth disease testing. It was stated that the district animal market was closed as a precautionary measure until the results of the samples are received, and a quarantine has been implemented within a 10-kilometer radius because Mahmudiye Village is connected to the center.
Furthermore, it was reported that animal markets across the province have also been closed indefinitely by the decision of the provincial commission following the appearance of foot-and-mouth disease throughout the province.
