Experts, who offer suggestions against indigestion that may arise from the sudden acceleration of a metabolism that has slowed down during the month of Ramadan, recommend black seed oil, which contains vitamins A, H, B1, B2, and B6.
''BALANCING BLOOD SUGAR, RELIEVING DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS...''
Emphasizing that the stomach calms down and relaxes during Ramadan and that one must be careful with sudden changes in diet during the feast, Medical and Aromatic Plants Technician Mehmet Pıçak said, “With the Ramadan Feast, our stomachs will suffer a bit from the sweets and treats that will be consumed, and we will experience digestive problems. We need to take precautions regarding this. We recommend one teaspoon of black seed oil at every meal—morning, noon, and evening—starting from the first day of the Ramadan Feast. Regular use of black seed oil is very effective in balancing blood sugar and relieving digestive problems. We recommend using oils obtained from cold-pressed black seeds, especially those produced from domestic seeds, one teaspoon in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. If our citizens use a teaspoon of black seed oil morning, noon, and evening, it is necessary to use black seed oil to prevent problems such as indigestion, digestive issues, and constipation after Ramadan, and to prevent sudden spikes in blood sugar,” he said.
''EVERYONE CAN USE BLACK SEED''
Medical and Aromatic Plants Technician Pıçak continued as follows:
"After coming out of the month of Ramadan, there is a desire to eat, a need to eat sweets, and treats are formed. It is nice, but we have to take precautions regarding this. This can be achieved with black seed oil. We recommend one teaspoon of black seed oil on an empty stomach as a supplement for children as well, to prevent stomach upset, the mixing of foods, and food poisoning; it can be used. As you know, black seed is mentioned in the Prophet's hadith: 'It is that black seed which is a cure for every disease except death.' Based on our faith in this hadith, we encourage all people from A to Z to use black seed. Everyone, children and adults, can use black seed. It can be used by mixing it with yogurt. Its powder can be used by mixing it with honey, molasses, or yogurt. But what is more essential is that its use is difficult. We always tell our people this, we recommend it. As its use becomes easier, it becomes easier to receive its healing. Therefore, we recommend black seed oil as a protective measure for children over the age of about 6 and for all adult classes, one teaspoon a day, even if there is no ailment. It does not matter if it is used by the elderly or adults. For children, it can be used as a teaspoon."
Stating that black seed can be consumed with many products, Pıçak said, “Black seed flour, that is, the powdered form that has no other mixture in it, can be used with honey. As you know, black seed is one of the special products used in the group we call bakery products, and there are actually some reasons and justifications for us to use it on yogurt. Since yogurt calms, relaxes, and loosens the digestive system, we sprinkle black seed on it both as a garnish and for healing purposes. But we should not neglect honey here. It can also be used with honey, molasses, and other bakery products,” he said.
Hasan İşeden, who consumes black seed oil 3 times a day, said, “We consume it daily whenever it comes to mind. It is one of the natural products that we should consume regularly in our normal lives. I especially consume this product when I have a sore throat. I gargle and swallow it. My preference is the bitter part that settles at the bottom of the black seed oil. We also use it a lot for stomach indigestion, and we have given it to our children a lot,” he stated.
