Responding to questions from members of the press before the AKP group meeting, Memişoğlu said the following regarding his statement that 'overweight individuals will be identified':
"We have a weight problem. Society must remain healthy. We are working for a healthy society and a healthy Turkey. Therefore, we will continue to state this awareness, as well as in terms of addiction and cesarean sections, and we will continue to have you say it as well."
