Bebelac Follow-on Milk has launched a new event series titled "Happy Babies, Happy Mothers." The first meeting of the series was held in Ankara. Mothers had the opportunity to receive information from experts regarding infant nutrition and development processes.
The event in Ankara was moderated by actress Ceyda Düvenci. The program was attended by Bebelac Marketing Director Nida Benan Özer, Pediatrician Dr. Melis Yeşil, and Clinical Psychologist Ceren Gümüş Yaşa. The experts discussed infant development, feeding routines, and the motherhood journey.
EVENTS WILL CONTINUE IN SIX MORE PROVINCES
Bebelac Marketing Director Nida Benan Özer stated that while they develop products in the field of infant nutrition, they also strive to support mothers through various projects. Özer announced that this journey, which began in Ankara, will continue in Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep, Adana, Mersin, and Istanbul.
Explaining the purpose of the events, Özer said, "Our goal is to create an environment for sharing information with our mothers and to exchange ideas." Stating that they designed the events to be interactive, Özer drew attention to the importance of mothers accessing accurate information.
Marketing Director Özer stated, "As a brand, we strive to guide mothers through this chaos and help them reach the accurate and useful information they need."
ONLY BREAST MILK FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS
Child Health Specialist Dr. Melis Yeşil emphasized that nutrition is the most important factor in healthy infant development. She also reminded that spending quality time with the baby is valuable for supporting cognitive functions.
Touching on the feeding routine, Yeşil stated, "We recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months; after 6 months, the complementary feeding period begins." She noted that in the newborn stage, the mother and baby are still getting to know each other, which is why they receive many questions about breastfeeding.
THE EXPECTATION OF PERFECTION TIRES THE MOTHER
Clinical Psychologist Ceren Gümüş Yaşa also expressed that motherhood is often associated with the expectation of being perfect. Yaşa stated that this situation tires mothers and creates feelings of helplessness and burnout.
Stating that every child is unique, Yaşa said, "It would not be right to engage in comparisons here. What matters is that the mother or father is able to do their best."
Yaşa reminded that children have basic needs such as feeling safe and knowing they are loved. Arguing that sharing common experiences is good for mental health, Yaşa said, "Sometimes things can go missing or wrong, but reparations are always possible."
