87 kilograms of drugs seized on a bus at Kapıkule

In an operation carried out at the Kapıkule Border Gate in Edirne, a large quantity of drugs was seized on a bus attempting to enter the country. The bus, which was deemed risky as a result of analyses conducted through the Ministry of Trade's systems, was directed to an X-ray scan.

Following the detection of suspicious density during the scan, a detailed search was conducted with the detector dog "Jeff". A total of 87 kilograms and 752 grams of drugs were found hidden in 93 packages within the vehicle's secret compartments. The two bus drivers and one other suspect detained in connection with the incident were arrested by the court following their processing at customs.
