Following an application by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, an access ban has been issued for the Instagram account of Engin Polat, following a similar measure against his wife, Dilan Polat.

In accordance with the decision taken by the Ankara 3rd Criminal Court of Peace, procedures have been initiated to block access to Engin Polat's Instagram account. It was stated that an official notification has been sent to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) to implement the decision.

According to the information obtained, the decision was made after Dilan Polat continued to share posts and certain commercial content through her husband Engin Polat's account following the access ban imposed on her own Instagram account. Evaluating the ministry's new application, the court ruled that the account in question should also be blocked.

It was stated that the decision was taken under the Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Publications Made on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed Through These Publications, citing the "protection of public order" and "prevention of crime." It was noted that the decision was forwarded to the BTK to complete the technical process.

The Polat family had also made headlines following an armed attack in Alaçatı, in the Çeşme district of İzmir, on June 3. Can Polat, who was Engin Polat's cousin and reportedly served as the family's close protection officer for many years, lost his life in the attack.

Following the incident, the Polat family stayed out of the public eye for a while, and access bans were imposed on Dilan Polat's social media accounts.
