Arrest warrant issued for Cengiz Avcı: Assets frozen

An arrest warrant has been issued for businessman Cengiz Avcı as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into irregular transactions in capital markets.

According to information obtained, the investigation was launched following an examination regarding Avcı, who has numerous buy-sell notifications for shares of Odine Solutions Teknoloji Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. (ODINE).

It was determined that Avcı went abroad following the transactions and is currently outside of Turkey; the arrest warrant was issued at the request of the prosecutor's office.

As part of the investigation, measures were also applied to Avcı's assets. It was stated that actions were taken regarding his bank accounts, movable and immovable properties, and other identified asset values in accordance with the decision.
