Arrest warrant issued for Fidan Atalay

A new development has occurred in the investigation into Fidan Atalay, known on social media as "Fidan Hoca." Atalay was arrested by the Ankara Duty Criminal Court of Peace.
As part of the investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Atalay was charged with "obscenity," as defined in Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code, and "laundering assets derived from crime," as defined in Article 282.
According to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an ex officio investigation was launched following posts, videos, and photo content shared on the Instagram account named "fidannatalay." Fidan Atalay was detained in İzmir at the request of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Atalay was transferred to Ankara, and her statement was taken via SEGBİS on August 29, 2026. Following her referral to the Ankara Duty Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest, a decision was made to remand her in custody.
