The court issued a stay of execution regarding the 10-day screen blackout penalty. The decision was taken unanimously.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Sözcü TV had been issued a 10-day broadcast suspension penalty on the grounds that live broadcasts from Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir had "incited the public to hatred and hostility" in their commentary.

Following the notification of the decision to Sözcü TV, it had been stated that the 24/7 screen blackout would begin on June 1 and last for 10 days.
