A dispute between former lovers who had reportedly been separated for some time turned violent at the Istanbul Regional Court of Justice 23rd Criminal Chamber. The ex-boyfriend, who is understood to be a prosecutor, shot the judge, his former partner, with a weapon he was carrying.

Following the attack, health and security teams were dispatched to the scene after bystanders reported the incident.

It was learned that the judge, who was shot in the legs, is in good condition. The incident occurred during a hearing, and the prosecutor has been taken into custody.

According to reports by Ceylan Sever, Prosecutor Muhammed Çağatay Kılıçarslan first shot Judge Aslı Kahraman in the groin, and was prevented from firing a second shot by Yakup Karadağ, a convicted tea server who was in the room.
