Within the scope of the case that has dominated the agenda in Adana, the decision regarding the release of Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar and 5 other individuals was taken to the higher court by the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor's office had objected to the first-instance court's release decision and requested a re-evaluation of the ruling.
The higher court, which reviewed the case file, ruled that the release procedure was in accordance with the law in terms of both procedure and substance. Thus, the objection filed against the release of Mayor Karalar and the other individuals who were released did not gain validity.
