The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into unusual fluctuations in stock prices at Borsa Istanbul. Within the scope of the investigation, detention warrants were issued for 17 people on charges of market fraud and forming a criminal organization.
Investigations revealed that the suspects manipulated the shares of Türk Prysmian Kablo ve Sistemleri AŞ (PRKAB) and Doğan Burda Dergi Yayıncılık ve Pazarlama AŞ (DOBUR). It was determined that these manipulations were carried out through social media pages named "Hektor", "Hektor As", and "Borsa Dostlar Konağı".
According to reports by Ekol TV, the operation was carried out in a total of 9 provinces, including Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and Şanlıurfa, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
