Bribery investigation in Antalya: Muhittin Böcek's son referred to the courthouse

As part of an investigation into bribery allegations involving the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Gökhan Böcek, the son of Mayor Muhittin Böcek, has been referred to the courthouse.

In the investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is alleged that certain individuals who received tenders from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality paid a total of 195 million lira in bribes to Mayor Muhittin Böcek and his son Gökhan Böcek. In the operation carried out within this scope, 17 people were detained.

Within the framework of the investigation, Muhittin Böcek’s daughter-in-law, Zuhal Böcek, had previously been arrested on charges of "laundering assets derived from crime." In the latest developments, Gökhan Böcek has been referred to the courthouse.

According to the allegations, individuals named A.A, B.Ç, M.Y., and Y.Y., who wanted to receive progress payments from the tenders, secured these payments by paying bribes. As the investigation continues, the statements of the other detained individuals are also being taken.
