Call for support from Kubilay Aka for his colleague: 'Release our brother'

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into boycott calls on social media containing hate speech and discrimination. In this context, detention warrants were issued for 16 people on charges of 'Inciting the Public to Hatred and Hostility'. According to reports by Halk TV, actor Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu is among the 11 people detained.

SUPPORT POST FROM KUBİLAY AKA

Following the detention of Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, actor Kubilay Aka made a statement on social media to support his colleague. Stating "Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu is not alone," Aka said, "I condemn the detention of my colleague Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu. I also find it very dangerous for the future that any of my colleagues or fellow citizens are detained for freely expressing their opinions. You may cover someone's mouth with your hands today, but millions are fortunately aware of the perception being managed. This country will not allow the youth it has raised to be imprisoned. Release our brother Cem."

While this incident has caused widespread repercussions on social media, many people have also supported Aka's call.

On the other hand, the Actors' Union also issued a statement regarding Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu.
