CHP applies to the Constitutional Court for the annulment of the 11th Judicial Package
The main opposition party, the Republican People's Party (CHP), has filed an application with the Constitutional Court requesting the suspension of the execution and the full annulment of certain articles of the 11th Judicial Package, which has sparked public debate.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın spoke at a press conference held at Ahlatlıbel Atatürk Park following the application.
Pointing out that legal regulations must be impartial and objective, Günaydın emphasized that while insult crimes were generally included in the scope of advance payment within the scope of the package in question, insults directed at public officials due to their duties were excluded from this scope. He argued that this situation is inconsistent with legal principles.
Günaydın also criticized the non-application of the advance payment provision to settlement files concluded after December 25, 2025, expressing the view that "there is no aspect of this practice that can be explained by law."
CHP's Günaydın also touched upon the regulations in the judicial package regarding crimes in the digital world. He stated that granting the authority to seize and suspend accounts containing proceeds of crime to banks and financial institutions instead of judicial authorities carries serious procedural and legal drawbacks. Stating that "the prosecution phase has been bypassed," Günaydın added that the regulation contains articles that are contrary to the law.
