Constitutional Court's Can Atalay ruling reaches local court
The ruling regarding Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) MP Can Atalay, for whom the Constitutional Court (AYM) has issued a second violation of rights decision, has reached the local court.

The Constitutional Court (AYM) met today to discuss the second individual application filed after the request for Can Atalay's release and the suspension of his trial was rejected, ruling by a majority vote that his right to be elected and engage in political activity, as well as his right to personal liberty and security, had been violated.
REACHED ISTANBUL 13TH HIGH CRIMINAL COURT
The short-form decision of the AYM reached the Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court, which is conducting the trial, in the evening hours.
The court is expected to issue a decision regarding Can Atalay. The AYM had previously reviewed the individual application of Can Atalay, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison in the Gezi Park case, on October 25, and ruled by a majority vote that his 'right to be elected and engage in political activity' and his 'right to personal liberty and security' had been violated.
The Istanbul 13th High Criminal Court had sent the file to the Court of Cassation, and the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation had subsequently filed a criminal complaint against the AYM members who ruled for the violation.
