Convicted in the July 15 case: Kemal Batmaz's daughter detained

Two people were detained in simultaneous operations conducted in Istanbul and Muğla; digital materials were seized during the searches.

As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the current structure of FETÖ/PDY, simultaneous operations were carried out in Istanbul and Muğla.

During the operation, which took place on the morning of August 28 at 05:45, search and seizure procedures were performed at 3 addresses in Istanbul and 1 address in Muğla.

Within the scope of the operation, Esma Batmaz, the daughter of Kemal Batmaz—who was captured at Akıncı Air Base during the July 15 coup attempt and convicted in the coup trial—was detained during the searches in Istanbul.

In the operation in Muğla, Hilal Köseoğlu, the daughter of Bilal Köseoğlu—who was dismissed from his profession as a judge and prosecutor at the Ankara Courthouse by a Statutory Decree and is currently held at the Muğla E-Type Closed Penal Execution Institution—was detained.

According to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a large number of digital materials were seized during the searches. It was reported that the classification and examination of these materials are ongoing.

It was stated that efforts to apprehend Yakup Aykın and Sami Yılmaz, who were determined to be abroad, are continuing as part of the investigation. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office noted that the investigation is ongoing to uncover the organization's current activities and connections.
