Date set for Tunç Soyer's court appearance
Defendants, including CHP İzmir Provincial Chair Şenol Aslanoğlu and former mayor Tunç Soyer, who were arrested as part of a corruption investigation into the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, will appear in court on September 19.

Out of 119 people detained within the scope of the investigation launched into allegations of corruption and irregularities at the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, 99 were referred to court with a request for arrest following their statements to the prosecutor's office.
Among these individuals are CHP Provincial Chair Şenol Aslanoğlu and former İZBETON A.Ş. General Manager Heval Savaş Kaya. A total of 60 people were arrested.
TRIAL DATE SET
The indictment prepared against Şenol Aslanoğlu, who was arrested on July 4, and former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer has been accepted by the İzmir 23rd High Criminal Court. The first hearing will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 09:30.
