A traffic dispute that occurred in the city center of Elazığ last Wednesday has turned into an interesting administrative investigation process. According to allegations, when the vehicle of a female judge working at the courthouse was moving slowly in traffic, a police commissioner on duty intervened. The commissioner warned the driver via megaphone and issued a second warning, claiming she was smoking while driving. The driver was seen throwing her cigarette on the ground, and the commissioner warned the driver again, this time citing environmental pollution.

During this time, it was noted that the female judge responded by saying, "I am a judge." The commissioner then requested the driver's identification. The judge stated that she did not have her ID with her and called a prosecutor on the phone to verify her identity. It was stated that a brief verbal argument took place following this conversation.

Two days after the incident, the female judge filed a complaint against the commissioner. The file was sent to the Elazığ Governor's Office, and the governor's office launched an administrative investigation into the matter. As a result of the investigation, it was decided to suspend the commissioner from duty.

Vedat Kılıçel, President of the Law Enforcement Personnel Assistance and Solidarity Association, stated in his remarks on the matter that the commissioner had issued warnings within the legal framework with a sense of duty, and expressed that the decision reached at the end of the process has sparked controversy.
