The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into a video broadcast on the social media accounts of the program "Soğuk Savaş" (Cold War).
It was determined that the video in question contained provocative and hate-speech-filled remarks targeting the Prophet Muhammad, based on the hadith "Alcohol is the mother of all evils." Following this, an ex officio investigation was opened on charges of "Inciting the Public to Hatred and Hostility or Degrading."
Within the scope of the investigation, a detention order was issued for the program's host, Boğaç Soydemir, and the guest, Enes Akagündüz. This development has resonated widely on social media and sparked public debate.
