Ekrem İmamoğlu, in a statement on his social media account, stated that the youths are being held in prison unjustly, saying, "The state and those who govern the state cannot harbor grudges against the youth. Holidays have passed, and our youths are still in prison in a way they do not deserve. They did not do anything unlawful; they only expressed their objections."

"IT DOES NOT FIT OUR CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS"

IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reminded that Ramadan and Eid al-Adha have passed and emphasized that the youths should be reunited with their families. He used the expressions, "I am calling out to those who govern our state. This situation does not fit our conscience, justice, or our customs and traditions. Let our youths reunite with their families this holiday."

"THE RELIGION OF THE STATE IS JUSTICE"

Furthermore, stating that the state has a responsibility to protect the freedom and future of the youth, İmamoğlu concluded his words by saying, "The religion of the state is justice. During the holiday, the place for the youth is by their families' side. Let the youth be free, and let the families finally find peace."
