Election week for HSK members in Parliament
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) is drawing attention this week with its busy agenda. The election of HSK members, proposals for amendments to Decree-Laws, and reports prepared on artificial intelligence strategies will be addressed.

The General Assembly of the TBMM will conduct the election of five members to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) this week and will discuss proposals envisioning amendments to Decree-Laws (KHK). Parliament will carry out an intensive program during the week of May 13–17. First, the election of five new members to the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) will be held in the General Assembly, followed by the discussion of regulations containing amendments to Decree-Laws (KHK).
On the commission's agenda are the Kartalkaya hotel fire and artificial intelligence reports. Five members will be determined from among the 15 candidates identified by the Joint Committee on Constitution and Justice.
The distribution of memberships will be as follows:
• Three members from the Court of Cassation,
• One member from the Council of State,
• One member from the quota of law faculty lecturers or lawyers.
KHK AMENDMENTS
According to reports from Dünya Gazetesi, the General Assembly will take up the proposed amendments to decree-laws following the HSK election. The regulations include provisions updating the authorities of various ministries and institutions.
The General Assembly will address some laws prepared in line with the Constitutional Court's annulment decisions, as well as a legislative proposal envisioning amendments to Decree-Law No. 375.
According to the proposal, an age limit of 35 will also be required for recruitment conducted through special competitive examinations for the profession by other public institutions, boards, supreme boards, and organizations established by laws or Presidential decrees.
The President of the Court of Jurisdictional Disputes will be elected by the Constitutional Court from among its own members.
FREE ALLOCATION TO TRT

The Kartalkaya Hotel Fire Investigation Commission will also receive information from officials from the Bolu Governorship. The commission will prepare a comprehensive report by examining the causes of the fire and the chain of responsibility.
The Artificial Intelligence Research Commission will submit its final report to the Speaker of Parliament this week after approximately one month of work. The report includes proposals for legal legislation and recommendations regarding Turkey's artificial intelligence strategy.
