Former CHP district head detained for bribery

A businessperson in Antalya, identified as Ü.Ş., applied to judicial authorities alleging that Y.E. had demanded a total of 1 million 400 thousand Turkish Lira in bribes in exchange for completing a task.
Within the scope of the investigation launched following these allegations, gendarmerie teams conducted an operation while Ü.Ş. was handing over the marked banknotes to Y.E. Y.E. was caught red-handed and detained during the incident.
It was reported that the processing of Y.E. at the gendarmerie is ongoing. The investigation into Y.E., who served as the CHP Serik district head between 2018 and 2020, continues.
