In an investigation coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 18 people, including former PETLAS board member Abdulkadir Özcan, have been detained.

As part of a drug and prostitution investigation conducted under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, legal proceedings have been initiated against 26 people, including former PETLAS board member Abdulkadir Özcan. It was reported that drugs were seized during a search of Özcan's residence.
The investigation involved proceedings against 17 suspects related to drug and prostitution offenses, as well as 9 individuals identified as managers of 5 establishments operating as public entertainment venues.
Additionally, Fado Bistro, Hausa Lunch&Dinner, İcaz Meyhanesi, Lanotte, and Pearl Steakhouse, were identified as being linked to the individuals against whom search, arrest, and legal proceedings were conducted.
Some suspects, including license holders, managers, and those responsible for the establishments, were detained.
It was stated that 18 out of a total of 26 people involved in the file have been apprehended, while 8 remain at large. Efforts are ongoing to capture the fugitives identified as F.Ö., M.D., M.O., Ö.Ş., Ö.Ü., S.K., T.T., and Y.T.
ÖZCAN HAD PREVIOUSLY MADE HEADLINES WITH AN INCIDENT ON A PLANE
Abdulkadir Özcan, who was detained in the investigation, had previously come to public attention due to an incident reported to have occurred on a Turkish Airlines flight to Dubai. It was alleged that Özcan “I am a billionaire, I would buy Turkey” and caused a disturbance.
It was reported that the judicial process regarding the substances seized during the investigation and the proceedings against the suspects is continuing under the coordination of the prosecutor's office.

Abdülkadir Özcan officially resigned from all his positions and his shareholding within the AKO Group, including Petlas, as of December 2024.
