He thought he bought a house, but experienced the shock of his life

Eyyüp Cengiz, who lives in Antalya, became the victim of a major fraud due to a house listing he saw on social media. Cengiz, who lost 1 million 850 thousand liras out of the 2 million 700 thousand liras his father gave him, recounted the incident. Cengiz said, "My sister, my brother, and I saw the house and liked it; we had even made arrangements with a moving company. However, after the fraudster took the money, he blocked both me and the homeowner. Both our house and our money are gone."

Cengiz began searching on social media to buy a new house with the money his father gave him after selling the house they were living in. Meeting a person named Gökhan, Cengiz stated that this individual made it appear as if the house belonged to him and gained his trust. Gökhan deceived Cengiz by claiming the house was registered under his brother-in-law's name but actually belonged to him.

Cengiz, who applied for a 2+1 house listing in the Erenköy neighborhood, went to see the house with his sister and brother. Stating that they liked the house and had made arrangements with a mover, Cengiz realized he had been defrauded during the title deed procedures. Cengiz, who sent 1 million 850 thousand liras to the IBAN number provided by Gökhan, learned that the money was converted into Bitcoin immediately afterward.

Following the incident, Cengiz went to the police station with the homeowner to file a complaint. Stating that Gökhan continues to commit fraud via social media, Cengiz requested help from the authorities. He made an appeal, saying, "Just help us, let these fraudsters be caught."

Cengiz expressed that he is currently forced to move into a rental property but is struggling due to high rents in Antalya. Cengiz, who is a COPD patient, stated that he cannot work in heavy labor jobs and is experiencing financial difficulties. "I have two children, I work for minimum wage. If I move into a rental, we won't be able to make ends meet," he said.
