Following a report prepared by inspectors from the HSK Inspection Board regarding allegations of bribery in the judiciary, Sidar Demiroğlu, President of the 21st High Criminal Court, has been suspended from duty.

In line with a report prepared by inspectors from the HSK Inspection Board regarding allegations at the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse, Sidar D., who previously served as a Criminal Judgeship of Peace at the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse and is currently the President of the Istanbul Anatolian 21st High Criminal Court, has been suspended from duty by the 2nd Chamber of the HSK. It was revealed that Sidar D. acted in violation of procedure and law in 14 different investigations, including those involving drug trafficking, extortion, arms trafficking, and illegal betting.

Chief Public Prosecutor Uçar had previously alleged that Demiroğlu, who served as a criminal judge of peace, had engaged in a series of irregular actions.

In Chief Public Prosecutor Uçar's petition, it was alleged that Judge Demiroğlu had facilitated the release of individuals accused of drug trafficking, in addition to issuing irregular access blocking orders.

Following the petition submitted by Chief Public Prosecutor Uçar to the HSK, Demiroğlu also filed a complaint with the HSK regarding Uçar. Demiroğlu had also alleged that Chief Public Prosecutor Uçar was involved in a series of suspicious relationships.
