Investigation into celebrities: Suspects taken for medical check-up

Within the scope of a drug investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants were issued for 25 people, including well-known public figures.
In an operation carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command, individuals including singer Sıla Gençoğlu, singer İlyas Yalçıntaş, and MED Yapım owner Mehmet Fatih Aksoy were detained.
The 25 detained individuals were taken to the Sarıyer Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital for medical check-ups as part of the procedures.

The names detained within the scope of the investigation were announced as follows: Akın Altan, Asude Mercan, Ateş İnce, Aybüke Albere, Ayşe Nur Balcı, Buğra Balkaya, Burak Çelik, Büşra Tatar (Canbaz), Cenk Çöteli, Feyza Cihan, Gökhan Şafak, Hazal Eylem İpek Şafak, Hilal Zeynep Hedbe, İlyas Yalçıntaş, İrem Haznedar, Kübra Altay, Mehmet Fatih Aksoy, Melis Selçukoğlu, Oğuz Alp Güler, Orhan Yıldız, Öner Faruk Işık, Sıla Gençoğlu, Şefik Ömer Dolman, Ümit Aslan, and Volkan Büyükhanlı.
In a statement made by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the investigation is being conducted within the scope of "combating narcotic substances that threaten public health and safety."
The statement indicated that evidence supporting reasonable suspicion had been reached regarding the suspects, who are known as artists, actors, business people, and operators, for using narcotic and stimulant substances, facilitating their use, or providing a location for their use.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that with the instruction dated July 16, 2026, it was requested that the 25 suspects be detained, searched, undergo biological examination, and be brought to the prosecutor's office after their statements are taken.
