According to the report by Egehan Erkün from Tele 1, the irregularities occurring at the Ümraniye Municipality have been brought to light by the Court of Accounts audit report. According to the report, imaginary units were created for appointments, irregularities were committed by assigning personnel to existing positions, and real estate was allocated to associations.

A DIRECTOR WAS APPOINTED

It has emerged that under the AKP administration, the Ümraniye Municipality established an 'Orchestra Directorate' despite not having an orchestra, and appointed a director to this unit without it ever conducting any activities.

The Court of Accounts published its report auditing the activities of municipalities for the year 2022. The report highlighted many irregularities occurring in the public sector this year, just as in the previous year. Despite the austerity measures announced by the government due to the economic crisis, it was determined that many municipalities made unnecessary expenditures and appointments to filled positions, and one of these municipalities that stood out was the AKP-run Ümraniye Municipality.

ORCHESTRA WITHOUT AN ORCHESTRA

According to the audit report, it was revealed that the AKP-run Ümraniye Municipality established an 'Orchestra Directorate' despite not having an orchestra. It was stated that the directorate has not been active since its establishment and has remained idle, with only a director present.

In addition to this, it was determined that the municipality paid the appointed director's salary from the budget of the Human Resources and Training Directorate.
