It has been reported that lawyer Elifnur Gürcü, who was determined to have had WhatsApp correspondence with Menderes Mayor İlkay Çiçek, has been detained.
According to findings obtained in the investigation carried out by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Gürcü had been placed alongside Mayor Çiçek by the Kuruçaylar criminal organization.
It was stated that the investigation is continuing within the scope of researching the allegations of irregularities at the municipality and the related connections.
