Minister Tunç announced: 125 people detained for terror propaganda on social media

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced in a post on his X account that judicial investigations have been launched against those "engaging in terror propaganda, using expressions that constitute crimes against our martyrs' families, and praising crime and criminals," and that 125 people have been detained.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced via his X account that 125 people have been detained on charges of engaging in terror propaganda on social media.

39 SUSPECTS ARE BEING SOUGHT

Tunç stated the following in his post:

"Necessary judicial investigations are being continued by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices regarding those who engage in terror propaganda on social media, use expressions that constitute crimes against our martyrs' families, and praise crime and criminals.

In 29 of our provinces, investigations have been launched against 202 suspects; 3 people have been arrested, 125 people have been detained, 6 people have been released under judicial control, 29 people have been released after their statements were taken, and apprehension procedures are ongoing for 39 suspects.

Those who disturb our martyrs' families and our nation, those who make posts that constitute crimes via social media, and those who aim to disrupt the peace of our country and our nation will absolutely not be tolerated."
