Nehir Zeyrek issues statement: 'Legal action has been taken'

Following the passing of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, his daughter Nehir Zeyrek has taken action against the insults and slander directed at her on social media.

In a statement shared on her social media account, Nehir Zeyrek stated that they have resorted to legal channels against slander and content violating private life disseminated through fake accounts.

Zeyrek included the following remarks in her statement:

"Legal action has been taken regarding all instances of slander, insults, and content violating private life directed at me through fake accounts.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against those engaging in such attempts, and there will be zero tolerance. For your information."

This step taken by Nehir Zeyrek has brought the increase in insulting and slanderous content on social media back to the agenda.
