No result in the 27th round of the Court of Cassation presidency election
No result was reached in the 27th round of the presidential elections, which began following the expiration of Court of Cassation President Mehmet Akarca's 4-year term.

No candidate was able to secure an absolute majority in the 27th round of the presidential elections held due to the expiration of Court of Cassation President Mehmet Akarca's 4-year term.
Mehmet Akarca, who was elected to the position of Court of Cassation President on March 24, 2020, completed his 4-year term as of March 24.
In this context, Court of Cassation members went to the polls on Monday, March 25, to determine the new president of the High Court, who will serve for 4 years.
Since no candidate was able to receive at least 175 votes, which is the absolute majority of the 348 Court of Cassation members, in the first 26 rounds of the election, the 27th round of voting was held.
As a result of the voting, Mehmet Akarca received 86 votes, Ömer Kerkez received 123 votes, and Muhsin Şentürk received 104 votes. While participation in the election was recorded as 319, 6 votes were counted as invalid.
Due to the failure to reach an absolute majority, the election is continuing with the 28th round of voting.
An absolute majority of the total number of members is required to be present in the elections.
