Öcalan met with his family and lawyers

Inmates held at the prison on İmralı Island, including the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, were granted the opportunity to meet with their families and lawyers on March 21, 2026. Information regarding these meetings was shared with the public by the inmates' lawyers.

In the meeting, where lawyers Raziye Öztürk, İbrahim Bilmez, and Cengiz Yürekli were present, Abdullah Öcalan, as well as Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar, Mahmut Yamalak, and Ergin Atabey, met with their legal counsel. On the same day, Abdullah Öcalan's family members Mehmet Öcalan and Ali Öcalan were also included in the meeting.

The other inmates, Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar, Mahmut Yamalak, and Ergin Atabey, also had the opportunity to meet with their family members. Regarding the matter, the lawyers highlighted the date of the meeting in their statement, noting: “Our office lawyers, Raziye Öztürk, İbrahim Bilmez, and Cengiz Yürekli, held a lawyer meeting with Mr. Abdullah Öcalan, Mr. Hamili Yıldırım, Mr. Ömer Hayri Konar, Mr. Mahmut Yamalak, and Mr. Ergin Atabey on İmralı Island on March 21, 2026 (today). Mr. Abdullah Öcalan held a family meeting with his family members Mehmet Öcalan and Ali Öcalan; our other clients, Mr. Hamili Yıldırım, Mr. Ömer Hayri Konar, Mr. Ergin Atabey, and Mr. Mahmut Yamalak, also held family meetings with their family members today.
