Operation against FETÖ's 'covert marriage' structure
In an operation conducted across 15 provinces centered in Ankara, 15 of the 26 detained suspects were arrested; 12 active public employees were also involved in the investigation.

Within the scope of the FETÖ/PDY investigation coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out in 15 provinces, centered in Ankara, targeting the organization's "covert marriage" structure within public institutions.
In the investigation, information and documents regarding the organization of marriage processes for organization members, who were assessed to be operating within the covert structure of public institutions, were examined.
During the examinations, new findings regarding intra-organizational marriage negotiations were reached through the detection and evaluation report of a ByLock account stated to be used by a female organization member.
According to the information obtained, it was determined that the marriage processes of organization members were monitored by so-called "older brothers" and "older sisters"; and that personal, family, and educational information, as well as physical characteristics and positions within the organization, of female organization members were recorded.
It was determined that from the candidate pool created in line with these records, individuals suitable for organization members operating particularly in the covert structures of public institutions were identified, and the parties were made to meet under the control of organization supervisors.
Following ByLock contents and other evidence obtained within the scope of the investigation, proceedings were initiated against a total of 28 suspects, including 12 active public employees.
A simultaneous operation was conducted by MIT and the Ankara Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch teams to apprehend the suspects. 26 of the 28 individuals for whom detention warrants were issued were captured.
Of the 26 suspects referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, 15 were arrested and sent to prison. It was reported that efforts to decipher the FETÖ/PDY's covert structure in public institutions and its intra-organizational marriage system are ongoing.
