Operations against criminal organizations continue in Istanbul
25 people have been detained in operations conducted against criminal organizations that carried out armed attacks on various businesses in Istanbul. Among those captured are two female hitmen.

The Istanbul Police Department's Public Security Branch and Robbery Bureau teams launched a large-scale operation to apprehend suspects who carried out attacks on businesses, homes, and vehicles for the purpose of extortion in Bakırköy, Beyoğlu, Ümraniye, Başakşehir, Üsküdar, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Sancaktepe, Küçükçekmece, and Kadıköy.
Police identified the suspects who carried out attacks on hospitals, cafes, offices, and cars by examining hundreds of hours of security camera footage. In this context, 25 people were detained in four separate operations.
Special Operations Branch teams also participated in the operations. During searches conducted at the suspects' homes, four pistols, a large number of cartridges, stolen motorcycles, and four computers were seized.
It was learned that two female hitmen were among those detained. It was stated that one of the female suspects, B.B., had one prior criminal record, while E.A. had six. It was determined that these women played an active role in the armed attacks and were captured on security cameras.
Of the 18 suspects referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, 13 were arrested. The judicial proceedings for the seven people caught in the latest operation are ongoing.
