A new phase has been reached in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the AHBAP Association. It was stated that Fatih Altaylı, Şahan Gökbakar, Ruşen Çakır, Hazal Kaya, Özlem Gürses, and Fatih Koparan have been summoned to testify as part of the investigation.
The file indicates that these individuals are among those who called for donations to AHBAP or made supportive posts about the association during the earthquake period. Fatih Altaylı, Hazal Kaya, Özlem Gürses, and Ruşen Çakır are expected to go to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan today to provide their statements.
It was noted that the investigation is being conducted based on the allegation that "donations collected on behalf of the AHBAP Association were transferred to the accounts of suspects." It was previously reported that Ece Üner, Fatih Portakal, Feyza Altun, Gökhan Özoğuz, and Öykü Serter had also been summoned to testify in the same case file.
It was stated that teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch are conducting work under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding accusations of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "qualified fraud," and "laundering assets derived from crime."
The file indicates that MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) reports, examinations of account movements, and findings from technical and physical surveillance are being evaluated; some suspects are under investigation due to money movements inconsistent with their financial profiles, high-amount transfers, and title deed transfer transactions.
It had previously been reported that out of 54 suspects detained within the scope of the investigation, 28 people, including AHBAP Association founder Haluk Levent and Oğuzhan Uğur, were arrested, and the assets belonging to the association and some suspects were seized.
