Summaries of proceedings sent to the Turkish Parliament for 11 MPs: Will their immunity be lifted?
It has been reported that summaries of proceedings (fezleke) prepared to lift the parliamentary immunity of 11 MPs from opposition parties have been submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). It was stated that the immunity of the MPs in question could be lifted following the deliberation of these summaries in the General Assembly.

It has been reported that 13 summaries of proceedings requesting the lifting of parliamentary immunity for 11 MPs from various political parties have been sent to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. It was noted that the summaries in question have been forwarded to the Joint Committee, which consists of members from the Justice and Constitution committees.
The list includes the names of DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan, CHP Group Deputy Chair Ali Mahir Başarır, DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, and TİP MP Ahmet Şık. Other MPs on the list include CHP's Sibel Suiçmez, Cemal Enginyurt, and Mahir Polat.
The requests for lifting immunity also include Nejla Demir, Beritan Güneş Altın, and Salihe Aydeniz from the DEM Party, as well as independent MP Koray Aydın. There are two separate summaries of proceedings each for Cemal Enginyurt and Salihe Aydeniz.
The Joint Committee will examine the summaries in question. The report to be prepared by the committee will be discussed in the General Assembly. The Parliament will make the final decision on whether or not to lift the immunities.
