'STATEMENT ON THE RIGHT TO HOPE'
Following the meeting, the lawyers conveyed Öcalan's thoughts on the "right to hope" to the public.
PKK leader Öcalan drew attention to the European Court of Human Rights' ruling on the "right to hope" and argued that this principle should be implemented by the state. Öcalan stated, "The principle of hope is a step that the state must take. It needs to remove this baggage. This is an issue that affects thousands of people. It must be done from a legal perspective. Both politics and justice require this."
