New details have emerged regarding the moments Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler was taken into custody during the process that led to his arrest.

Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler was arrested and sent to prison as part of an investigation into allegations of "rigging a tender" and "forming an organization for the purpose of committing a crime."
Within the scope of the investigation, 21 people, including Köseler and his Chief of Staff Veli Genç, were detained. Of the suspects referred to the court, 13 were arrested and sent to Paşakapısı Prison.
While Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu claimed that Köseler was taken into custody in his bed at 04:00, the released footage shows him greeting the police at the door while wearing a suit. It was stated that Köseler was already awake at that early hour because he had a flight to Ankara at 06:00, and it was learned that he opened the door himself to the police who rang the bell at 04:45.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior announced that the arrested Köseler has been suspended from his duties.
