New information has come to light regarding Oktay Tan, who testified in the corruption investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Tan was a parliamentary candidate nominee for the AKP in 2015 and was nominated as the 35th candidate from Istanbul's 1st District in 2018. Tan alleged that officials from Kültür A.Ş., a subsidiary of the IMM, demanded a bribe of 8 million lira from him.

However, investigations into the Direk Reklam company, which Tan claimed to own, revealed that the company was established in 2011 in Maltepe by Seyyithan Tan, Cemil Tan, Zafer Kalkan, Sibel Çağlar, and Mehmet Abdusselam Çağlar, and that Oktay Tan's name does not appear in any general assembly decisions. It is believed that Oktay Tan may be related to the company founders due to sharing the same surname.

According to information obtained from Kültür A.Ş., it is stated that no tenders were awarded to Direk Reklam. Furthermore, it was learned that the company, which Oktay Tan claimed to own, was sold to 'Medya Pano Reklamcılık A.Ş.' by a Board of Directors decision. The members of the Board of Directors of Medya Pano include Ümit Erboz, İrfan Karabaş, and Aslan Emre.
