Witness testimonies in Alihan Kuriş investigation added to file: Striking FETÖ connection

Witness testimonies obtained during the investigations into Alihan Kuriş have been added to the file. Various allegations regarding Kuriş and his circle were recorded in the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into the "Alihan Kuriş criminal organization for profit" and the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's investigation into the death of former Minister of Transport Arif Ahmet Denizolgun.

According to information obtained from judicial sources, businessman M.K., who testified as a witness in the Ankara investigation, made statements regarding a meeting he had with Denizolgun and businessman R.A. before December 17-25, 2013. M.K. alleged that Denizolgun had received a letter from Fetullah Gülen and made certain assessments regarding it.

Witness Y.K., who testified in the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, claimed that Alihan Kuriş wanted to take over the leadership of the community. Y.K. argued that there were suspicions that Denizolgun's death was not natural, and alleged that Kuriş acted in this direction due to his leadership expectations.

Another witness in the file, R.Ş., also claimed that Kuriş had leadership expectations and that, for this reason, negative remarks about Denizolgun were voiced in his circle. In his testimony, R.Ş. alleged that Kuriş was directed by FETÖ, stating, "FETÖ did not want Arif Ahmet Bey at the head of the community because he wanted to stand with the state and the government."

It was stated that the allegations in the witness testimonies are being evaluated in the investigation file regarding Denizolgun's death and Kuriş's position within the community. The examination of the information and documents obtained within the scope of the investigation continues.
