Minister Tunç objected to the reports regarding the judicial execution package. Tunç reacted to the news reports concerning the execution regulation, which is expected to come to the Parliament's agenda in the coming weeks.

Tunç stated the following:

"The first judicial package concerns the investigation, prosecution, and execution phases of the criminal justice system. It will make criminal justice and the fight against crime more effective. There are important regulations that will allow for re-evaluations regarding crimes that threaten the peace and tranquility of society.

In the press, especially on some television channels, there have been some posts aimed at disinformation regarding the draft we have prepared concerning the criminal justice system. Do not believe these at all. What is it? They say someone sentenced to 8 years will serve 1 year. There is no such thing. They say someone sentenced to 12 years will be released in 9 months; there is no such thing. Where are you getting these from? At a very critical time we are going through, there are those who broadcast to smear our preparations for some regulations regarding the demands coming from society and practice, to mislead citizens, and to engage in black propaganda by spreading information that misleads the public. Do not pay any attention to them. We will do whatever is necessary for our nation."

"GREAT RESPONSIBILITIES FALL UPON US ALL"

Regarding the PKK dissolving itself, Tunç said the following:

"We are moving with firm steps toward the goal of a Turkey without terrorism. We are getting rid of the scourge of terrorism, which has troubled our country for 40 years, stood as the biggest obstacle to our development and progress, and caused us to give thousands of martyrs. The terrorist organization has dissolved itself. It has announced that it has laid down its arms. This result did not come easily. From now on, great responsibilities fall upon us all. As a nation, we will continue on our path by further strengthening our unity and solidarity. Regardless of ethnic origin, we are all brothers. By strengthening our brotherhood, we will become the most powerful country in the world. No one will be able to stand in the way of this."
