Özel stated the following in his post:
“I have learned with sadness that the mother of esteemed journalist İsmail Küçükkaya, Halise Küçükkaya, has passed away in Antalya. I wish God's mercy upon Halise Küçükkaya and offer my condolences and patience to the Küçükkaya family.”
