Actor John Malkovich to perform in Istanbul
Master of cinema and theater John Malkovich will meet his fans at Zorlu PSM on September 16 with his play 'The Infernal Comedy'.

John Malkovich will present stories based on real life to the audience accompanied by music in his performance.
The event, organized in collaboration with BWO Entertainment and Dolmabahçe AŞ, will be performed in English with Turkish subtitles.
WHO IS JOHN MALKOVICH?
John Gavin Malkovich (born December 9, 1953, Christopher, Franklin County, Illinois) is an Emmy Award-winning American film actor, director, and producer. He has been nominated for an Oscar twice for his roles in In the Line of Fire and Places in the Heart.
Malkovich is of Croatian descent on his father's side. He attended Eastern Illinois University and helped found the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago with his friend Gary Sinise. Seven years later, he won an Obie Award for his performance in Sam Shepard's play True West.
Later, he starred alongside Dustin Hoffman in the famous writer Arthur Miller's play Death of a Salesman. He won an Emmy Award for his performance in the television adaptation of the same work.
He played a villain in the film Places in the Heart and was nominated for an Academy Award. That same year, he starred in The Killing Fields and made his major breakthrough in the film Dangerous Liaisons. He portrayed a murderous assassin in Clint Eastwood's In the Line of Fire, and Colonel Kurtz, a character who flees the modern world for the wilderness, in the television adaptation of Joseph Conrad's novel Heart of Darkness.
He also received significant praise for his performances in distinguished films such as The Portrait of a Lady and Mary Reilly, as well as in the Spike Jonze film Being John Malkovich, in which he played himself. In 2006, he portrayed the biography of Gustav Klimt.
In a 2011 interview, Malkovich said, "I am not a political person... I don't have an ideology." He stated that he has not voted since George McGovern lost the 1972 US presidential election. He has indicated that he does not support the views of journalist Robert Fisk or politician George Galloway.
In 2013, Malkovich applied pressure to a tourist in Toronto whose throat was cut after falling on scaffolding until medical teams arrived. It was reported that the 77-year-old tourist survived thanks to this. Malkovich received praise from non-governmental organizations.
In a project conducted in collaboration with Robert Rodriguez, he starred in a film titled 100 Years, setting a precedent in cinema history by scheduling the film's release date for November 18, 2115.
