Actor Metin Yıldız explains why he did not support the İmamoğlu protests: 'I am very busy'

Actor Metin Yıldız has explained on his social media account the reason for his silence regarding the protests over the potential imprisonment of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Metin Yıldız, known for the sketches he performed as part of the 'Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar' troupe, made a post on his X account.

Yıldız explained the reason for his post with the following words: "I am receiving intense demands these days, both through my social media accounts and personally. Oh, why am I staying silent, oh, why am I not making posts, oh, why am I not calling for a boycott, oh, and so on and so forth..."

Sharing a photograph taken with İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in the past, Metin Yıldız stated that the reason for his silence was that Ekrem İmamoğlu did not answer his calls and that he could not reach him at all.

Hello friends,

I am receiving intense demands these days, both through my social media accounts and personally. Oh, why am I staying silent, oh, why am I not making posts, oh, why am I not calling for a boycott, oh, and so on and so forth...

Why, you ask? Let me tell you;

None of you knew the friend with the microphone in the photo...
